Not only is the cost of living in relatively low, but you will find that employment prospects in this small city are excellent. Delray Beach’s unemployment rate is only 6.20%. In the past year, the number of jobs has grown by about 4%. It is expected that the number of jobs will grow 41.70% over the next ten years. More than 50% of the households have an income that exceeds $50,000 annually. Therefore, you will likely have no issue finding a stable, well-paying job in Delray Beach, even as a new resident. The average commute time is about 20 minutes, which is great for such a small city.

In terms of the culture, Delray Beach can be described as a quiet and quaint community. People tend to keep to themselves, but you and your family members will have no trouble finding people to befriend. Residents in Delray Beach are also very willing to give help to people who are in need. While residents tend to be quiet and peaceful, they are not people to shy away from having fun. Therefore, you can expect to see many events and activities going on in Delray Beach, especially around the holidays. This means you should have no trouble having some family-friendly fun.

Besides its beaches, this city is best known for its historical locations. Some sites are registered on the National Register of Historic Places. Downtown is where everything is happening, especially as the area has been redeveloped recently and is bringing in more people and a family friendly atmosphere. With numerous parks and fields, you can stay active with your family and friends.
    Married couples with children make up half of the population in the Shores. A 2 bedroom condo in this real estate market is around $150,000 and a single family home around $299,500, , making it one of the more affordable areas in Delray.
